Interview for Business For Home with Deniz Felix

How did you discover the industry of Direct Sales?
My career started while I was working at Lutheran Medical Center in New York. It was tough because I was working 12 hour shifts just to get by. I had terrible relationships with people and pretty much was depressed all the time. I definitely wanted a change but didn't know where to start.
Did personal development play an important part in your success?
Prior to this industry I wasn't aware of the importance of personal development when it came to success. It wasn't until I met my mentor and sat through one of his personal development / leadership trainings that it opened my eyes to how great a human being can be.
Going through the growth and personal development definitely helped my business because not only was I showing people how to make money so I could make money but I truly and genuinely fell in love with people and the vision of making this world a better place.
Are you a massive recruiter or are you more selective who to partner with?
My strength is helping people get results quickly and duplicating that effect, I believe people come into this industry to see results and even though they will not become wealthy overnight, they can begin to get a glimpse of what the future holds for them in their first couple of weeks, days or even hours through plugging them into the system and getting them results right away.
What are the biggest reasons that you attribute the success that you, and your team have had in NuViza?
I always say I will consider myself truly successful when those around me have the lifestyle they've dreamed of. Everything our team has accomplished is because of the hard work of every single person in our organization and the great support support system Nuviza has in place for everyone.
What was your biggest challenge to build up a team?
In the beginning, I thought that you needed the nicer things to attract people. But my mentor showed me how the first thing people fall in love with is not the company or the products, it was me. That meant to me that I needed to give them something good to fall in love with. So I decided to start working on myself because if I wanted powerful team players it had to start with me.
How has your life changed through your success in the industry?
It has become better in every aspect. Financially, socially and personally. I have amazing people around me, a partner that loves me, and a community that trusts me — along with all the other perks like being able to travel around the world. Even though my family lives on the other side of the country I'm able to spend time with them often. But, I would say the most important thing is that I am happy.

Who are your mentors? Do you have a mentor, do you think a mentor is important?
My first mentor in this industry was Alexander Evaji, when I first met him I just fell in love with his philosophy of "when you help others get what they want, you will get what you want" and "showing the world how great a human being can be". Alex has played a very important role in my life as he has become a living role model for me to follow, I knew that by sticking to someone with an unshakeable spirit I would learn to emulate that.
What is the key to duplication and building leaders?
Through my years of building teams I've learned the fastest way to duplicate a leader is to (1) lead by example and (2) do it with them in the beginning. First, I do and you watch, then you do and I watch, then you do. Every person is different and has a different learning curve so for me it's crucial to stick to these steps while providing the right information. I didn't want to limit myself so I would network and train potential leaders from all walks of life and it's what allowed me to expand to other areas (Indonesia, Latin America, Russia, India, Africa, Australia, Asia).
Did you start from scratch building up your team?
Yes, the most interesting thing to me is when I found this industry, the whole focus was on “Organic” growth. Every person was trained from scratch, helped, coached, myself included.
This is the foundation to a very solid system and even today drives our business. I fell in love with the philosophy of the founder because I could see he was focused on the long term, truly changing the way the industry builds, and changing the world through taking care of everyone in the process.
What are your plans for your future? What are your plans and goals for the future?
On a personal level, I would like to open hospitals in countries to help those in need. I think it’s one of the ways I can share my success with the world. I actually started a blog I call “Life without limits” to share my experiences with anyone who is looking to see what this industry can do for them and help them in the process of creating their stories.

Find YOUR Happiness

I'm extremely happy to be able to share this space with you. Since my last blog I've received dozens of messages with your beautiful stories that once again showed me how connected we are to one another. Sitting and reading everything you guys write to me, fills me with joy just to think what the future has in store for you. Once a successful gentleman told me "the best way to predict the future is to create it" at that moment a wave of emotions came upon me, his words made sense, they had logic but, how would I do it? I had no idea. At a short age I had to learn that your attitude and outlook on life could be a huge factor that defines where you end up in 10 years, 5 years, 1 year, 6 months or even tomorrow.

After a long journey of life lessons I can say that I never ever imagined I would live like I live now, much less feel what I feel now. Not just how I feel about myself, but how I feel toward others. This industry has definitely helped me find myself and help others. Thanks to NuViza I have been able to travel to different parts of the world and I've had the opportunity to appreciate what the world has to offer. I've created unbreakable ties, true friends and best of all is that I have been able to incorporate my family into this environment, making this stage of my life the happiest so far. We have a lot of work to do before we can call ourselves successful people but we are on the right track. The truth is that I will only consider myself a person with great achievements when people around me have achieved their dreams. So time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! =)

And for those who think it's just LUCK, I've learned that luck has a recipe (Labor Upon Correct Knowledge). Because everything was difficult before it was easy. I'm not sure what stage in your life you are in right now, but if your heart tells you he wants more, listen to it and find the way to find your happiness.

I am infinitely thankful with Mr. Ahmad Alexander Evaji not just for believing in me unconditionally, because with his unwavering attitude picked me up every time I fell, because with his spirit of a champion not only taught me to believe in myself again, but to have faith and compassion in others. That was how I learned that when you work with the right people, there is no question of whether things will happen, but the real question is, how fast and how big will do those things happen.

Have you updated your phone? Can We Auto-Correct Humanity?

Do you have issues with your connection?

I came across this video and realized that if we don't make an effort to balance our lives, technology can be a strong factor that divides the world forever.
Technology has made some parts of life a lot easier for the world, thanks to airplanes we don't need to sail or ride our way from point A to B unless we wish to, but our planet is so polluted it has now created an imbalance in our ecosystem. Thanks to mechanized agriculture we have abundance in food, but now more than ever before we have the highest rates of obesity and disease.
It seems that instead of making technology a part of our lives, we have made it our life.

The Project: You don't need to delete your social networks or destroy your phones, the message is simple, be balanced, be mindful, be present, be here. :)

How to Make a Friend

Maui, Hawaii

Anyone that is close to me knows I'm a big justice fighter. I don't like to see, hear or know of people being taken advantage of. I love to be friends with everyone even though I'm surprised to say it myself considering a couple of years ago I was that shy girl that wouldn't say a word to anyone. I think the insecurities that were nurtured in me by the not so positive environment I was a part of made me that way, but deep inside I wanted to be different. Since this project, I gave myself a chance to get to know people, live, share, explore and trust and that was the best decision of my life! I consider myself truly blessed because I have great people around me and thanks to what I do for a living I get to build those connections and relationships on a day to day basis, so my life is like a MOVIE! =D

Common Interests
We meet hundreds of people everyday. How do you know someone is going to be your friend? How do you know what they like, what the don't like? How do you know if you share the same interest/ ideas?
You don't, that's kind of like the whole point of life, you go through life without knowing who we're going to meet next or what the next experience is going to be and that's what makes everything so exciting! Common interests bring people together! It doesn't mean you have to have every single thing, idea, thought in common. But when you meet someone, compliment them on something you find interesting (oh my gosh, where did you get those jeans?); shoes, outfit, purse, phone, a song, even another friend! The most important tip in this step is being open about the things you like.

Engaging

Now that you have found common interests, talk to them, don't be shy. Find out a little bit about them. Make a plan to get to know them because here is where you will take your engagement to a true connection.

Connecting
Long Beach, California
This is how you'll know if someone really wants you in their life or vice versa. You can add them on Instagram or Facebook. Maybe you don't want to exchange numbers right away, that's okay. I find it polite to ask "hey is it cool if I follow you on Instagram or Facebook?"
And how you know this person is more than an
acquaintance? When you are constantly talking to them, chatting, video chatting, sending them a text "hey what's up? What are your plans for tonight?". If it's someone I find have a lot of things in common with me I talk to them even more.

Exploring
Snorkeling in Open Water =0
Go out with them!  Explore and experience. I love to visit new restaurants or catch a good movie. I would say shoot some pool but... I don't like pool (LOL). One thing that I like to do with my friends is take walks through central park or go bike riding. I also like to travel to different parts of the world with my closest friends and through that we develop unforgettable memories. And that's what my book of life will be filled with, unforgettable memories with everyone I love and admire. And last but not least...

Sharing
Share secrets! My best friends know everything about me. When you share something intimate is when you can really stablish trust. And when you have reached that point of trust, without a doubt, it's the best feeling in the world!!
I hope these tips help you in your search of new buddies! Leave a comment below and let me know how it goes =D

Let's Meet!

Hi guys! I decided to take on this project because I love sharing and exchanging experiences and stories with people across the world. I would like to begin by introducing myself because I know we will become very good friends =).

I'm Deniz Felix and this is my very first blog :). I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I grew up in a traditional family, my parents both came from Mexico and they worked really hard to make sure my sister and I had everything we needed and we did. Although in 2000 the USA went through economic crisis leaving my father and his business bankrupt and left us with no other plan but to move to NYC. Everyone told us opportunities were flowing in NY.
So my parents, my sister and I packed and we moved 3,000 miles away from my hometown to the other side of the continent in August of 2001,
I arrived to Brooklyn, NY (Sunset Park). Definitely different from I expected it to be. The city was dirty, crowded and the people were not that friendly! Yikes!

I remember the feeling I had my first day of school in New York, it was definitely something new.
I started the 6th Grade in Pershing Intermediate School and I remember kids making fun of me because of my ethnicity and because I was quiet and shy, man kids can be cruel! I was extremely home sick and I made it my goal to one day go back to my hometown to my best friends.
Writing became my favorite thing to do, because it was an scape from my reality. I would write stories about how I wanted my life to be, sometimes I would even write about the difficulties I would go through and change my name so I can forget it was actually happening to me. But I would rather skip this part for now . I was definitely not happy with the disconnection in my family.

So I moved on, to find my motive in life. What would make my heart sing. And for many years I could not decide what I wanted to do for my future. My home had turned into a mad house that I didn't know how to get out of. Finally, when I decided enough was enough, I packed my bags and left my parents' house, 3 months after my 15th Birthday. I was ready to go explore the world on my own and experience the beauty of life and see what people had to offer. Although I lacked trust in people I thought to myself I would find some people that really cared for me. Oh man, I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. I had no idea how difficult it was to figure things out on my own. But they say "where there is a will, there is way". Boy it took me a while to find THE WAY!

But here we are, 8 years later. I can definitely tell you, my life is amazing, along the way I came across people who were not good people at heart and also some wonderful people that changed my life forever, you'll get to meet some of them on this blog. I learned so much from them, we have gone through many experiences together! I've learned the value of friendship, love, life and why it's important to appreciate all of these things.
In this blog I will share my ideas, experiences, perspective and you are welcome to share your experiences, ideas, projects and feel free to comment and ask questions =). Let me know if there is anything specific that you would like for me to cover. See you next time! Chao!

Love,
Deniz
